Invitation from Music Trust PLMF and NGO Rapla Church Music Festival:

V RAPLAMAA YOUNG MUSICIAN COMPETITION
2nd of April 2025 at the Rapla Cultural Center

The competition is open to students of music schools in Raplamaa with the aim of recognizing young musical talents in Raplamaa and their teachers. A broader goal is to promote classical music education in Raplamaa. The competition takes place in three age groups.

Students from Rapla Music School, Kehtna School of Arts, Juuru Eduard Vilde School, Kaiu Music School, Kohila School of Arts, Märjamaa Music and Art School, and others participate in the competition.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 26

PROGRAM TO BE PERFORMED AT THE COMPETITION
The program length for the younger age group (7–9 years old) is 2–3 minutes,
for the middle age group (10–12 years old) 3–5 minutes,
and for the older age group (13 years and older) 6–8 minutes.
One piece from the competition program will be performed at the final concert.

AWARDS
In both age groups, three prize-winning places will be announced.

YOUNGER AGE GROUP:
I PLACE – 100 EUROS
II PLACE – 75 EUROS
III PLACE – 50 EUROS

MIDDLE AGE GROUP:
I PLACE – 125 EUROS
II PLACE – 100 EUROS
III PLACE – 75 EUROS

OLDER AGE GROUP:
I PLACE – 150 EUROS
II PLACE – 125 EUROS
III PLACE – 100 EUROS

GRAND PRIX – 200 EUROS
The Grand Prix will be announced at the final concert of the Rapla Church Music Festival on July 27

SCHEDULE
NB! The schedule may be subject to changes depending on the length of the competition programs. The final schedule will be confirmed by April 2.
12:00 pm – opening, younger age group competition
12:30 pm – jury deliberation / middle age group rehearsal
12:45 pm – jury concert and award ceremony for the younger age group, winners are invited to perform at 3 pm
1:15 pm – middle age group competition
2 pm – jury deliberation / older age group rehearsal
2:15 pm – older age group competition
3 pm – announcement of the winners, award ceremony, and concert of the winners from all age groups
