VIRUMAA MUSIC FESTIVAL
was established with the aim of bringing concert experiences performed by Estonia’s finest musicians to the Ida-Viru and Lääne-Viru regions.

The VIII Virumaa Music Festival features 12 diverse events – choral and chamber music concerts, workshops, and programmes that bring the joy of music to young people in schools.

The performers include saxophone quartet SAXISSIMA! – Rene Laur (soprano saxophone), Emily Urla (alto saxophone), Lauri Sepp (tenor saxophone), Tanel Gatski (baritone saxophone); Virgo Veldi (saxophone), Piia Paemurru (piano); Kristel Eeroja-Põldoja (violin), Tõnu Kalm (clarinet), Ebe Müntel (piano); Toomas Vavilov (clarinet), Neeme Ots (trumpet), Jaan Ots (piano); ETV Girls’ Choir, conducted by Aarne Saluveer; Atlan Karp (baritone), Andre Hinn (piano); and Duo Hoog – Liina Fidelman (flute) and Mikk Langeproon (accordion).

The concert venues are Sillamäe Cultural Centre, Pajusti Club, Jõhvi Concert Hall, Rakke Cultural Centre, Aseri School Hall, Narva Cultural Centre Rugodiv, Haljala Cultural and Leisure Centre, and Iisaku Community Centre.

As part of the youth programme, concerts will also take place at Jõhvi Gymnasium and Jõhvi Central School, along with a masterclass at the Music Department of Sillamäe Cultural Centre. Talented students and their teachers from music schools across East and West Virumaa will be recognised at the

The festival is honoured to have been awarded the European Festivals Association’s EFFE Quality Label for 2026–2027.
