VIRUMAA MUSIC FESTIVAL
was established with the aim of bringing exceptional concert experiences to the East and West Virumaa regions, featuring performances by Estonia’s finest musicians.
The VII Virumaa Music Festival presents 14 diverse events —
chamber concerts, workshops, and educational outreach programs
introducing music to young audiences in schools.
Performers include the Estonian National Male Choir; the saxophone quartet SAXISSIMA – Rene Laur (soprano saxophone), Emily Urla (alto saxophone), Lauri Sepp (tenor saxophone), Tanel Koho (baritone saxophone); accordion duo Henri Zibo and Mikk Langeproon; Duo ObSolute – Jaanika Kuusik (soprano) and Riivo Kallasmaa (oboe); Mari-Liis Uibo (violin), Toomas Vavilov (clarinet), pianists Jaan Ots and Mati Mikalai, Andreas Lend (cello), Allan Jakobi (accordion); Virgo Veldi (saxophone), Dominika Ács (flute, Hungary).
Concert venues include Jõhvi Concert Hall, Narva Cultural Centre Rugodiv, and the community centres of Iisaku, Kiviõli, Maidla, Kiikla, Roela, and Tammiku, as well as Väike-Maarja Community Hall and Sillamäe Cultural and Hobby Centre.
As part of the youth program, concerts will also take place at Jõhvi Gymnasium, Jõhvi Central School, and Jõhvi Music School. Talented students and their teachers from music schools across East and West Virumaa will be recognized at the
“VI Virumaa Young Musician 2025”.
