IX INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ACADEMY FOR STRING PLAYERS 31th of July – 4th of August (28th of July – 5th of August) 2018 in
Tallinn and Rapla in cooperation with the International Alion Baltic Music Festival In the summer academy of 2018 it is possible to choose between
3 different programs: Teachers/lecturers in all programs:

Sergei Stadler (violin, Russia)
Stanislav Pronin (violin, Germany/Canada)
Anastasia de Haan (violin, Netherlands)
Sumiko Tajihi (violin, Japan/USA)
Marco Misciagna (viola, Italy)
Chiu-Chen Liu (viola, Taiwan/USA)
Levi-Danel Mägila (cello, Estonia)

Program 1  (31st of July – 4th of August)

– 4 a’ 40 min individual lessons;
– 3 chamber music sessions;
– 2 a’ 3h orchestra sessions;
– performance at the summer academy final concert in Rapla church on 3rd of August at 7 PM and
on 4th of August in Tallinn at Tallinn Philharmonic House of the Blackheads at 7 PM;
– free visits of the Rapla Church Music Festival concerts 26th of July – 5th of August (festival program www.raplafestival.ee)

Participation fee: 150€ (includes program 1 of the summer academy, catering and accommodation in rooms
with 2-4 beds in Rapla student home)

Program 2  (28th of July – 4th of August)

– 2 a’ 3h orchestra sessions;
– performance at the summer academy final concert in Rapla church on 3rd of August at 7 PM and
on 4th of August in Tallinn at Tallinn Philharmonic House of the Blackheads at 7 PM;
– free visits of the Rapla Church Music Festival concerts 26th of July – 5th of August (festival program  www.raplafestival.ee)
– in Tallinn, between 28th – 30th of July,  2 a’ 40 min individual lessons with Prof. Alissa Margulis (violin, Belgium) or Alexander Buzlov (cello, Russia).

Participation fee: 240€ (includes program 2 of the summer academy, catering and accommodation in rooms
with 2-4 beds in Rapla student home 31.07-4.08)

Program 3  (28th of July – 7th of August)

– 4 a’ 40 min individual lessons;
– 3 chamber music sessions;
– 2 a’ 3h orchestra sessions;
– performance at the first summer academy final concert in Rapla church on 3rd of August at 7 PM and
on 4th of August in Tallinn at Tallinn Philharmonic House of the Blackheads at 7 PM;
– free visits of the Rapla Church Music Festival concerts 26th of July – 5th of August (festival program www.raplafestival.ee);
– in Tallinn, between 28th – 30th of July,  2 a’ 40 min individual lessons with Alissa Margulis (violin, Belgium) or Alexander Buzlov (cello, Russia).
– in Tallinn, on 5th and 6th of August, 2 a’ 40 min individual lessons with Sergei Stadler;
– performance at Estonia Concert Hall on 7th of August, conductor Sergei Stadler.

Participation fee: 350€ (includes program 3 of the summer academy, catering and accommodation in rooms with
2-4 beds in Rapla student home 31.07-4.08)

In addition it is possible to take a master class from the violin legend Prof. Ivry Gitlis on 11th and 12th of August at Tallinn Philharmonic House of the Blackheads. Price 100€ for two lessons.

Expected to participate are string players with an academic degree, but also young musical talents and enthusiasts without an age limit.
