ANNA-LIISA BEZRODNY
\n<\/strong>was born into a family of renowned musicians in Moscow. Already at the age of two she began her violin studies with her parents, and at the age of nine she began her studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, in the class of her parents: Prof. Igor Bezrodny and Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. Her later years took her to London, resulting in winning the most prestigious award in Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Gold Medal (2006), previously won by masters such as baritone Bryn Terfel and cellist Jaqueline du Pre. Over the years Anna-Liisa Bezrodny has performed as a soloist with the London, Helsinki, Vilnius, Jena and Turku Philharmonic, Estonian National, Riga and Moscow Symphony Orchestra TV6 and several other symphonic orchestras as well as Gewandhaus Bach Orchestra, Georgian, Keskipohjanmaa (Finnish), Zurich, Madrid, Tallinn and other chamber orchestras. Concerts have taken place in such world-famous concert venues as Moscow Conservatoire Great Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Finlandia-talo, Royal Festival, Barbican, Wigmore and Cadogan Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Cologne Philharmonie etc. Cooperation has been done with several conductors (Sir Colin Davis, Leif Segerstam, Paavo J\u00e4rvi, Sian Edwards, Eri Klas, Nikolay Alekseyev, Arvo Volmer, Juha Kangas, Paul M\u00e4gi, Tibor Boganyi, Robin O\u2019Neil, Mihkel K\u00fctson, etc.). A.-L. Bezrodny has successfully taken part in many international competitions obtaining several awards and prizes including Martin Music<\/p>\n

Finnish cellist Jan-Erik\u00a0Gustafsson\u00a0is one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation, who began his studies with Markku Luolajan-Mikkola at the West Helsinki Music Institute. He studied further with Mikhail Homitser and Frans Helmerson at the Edberg-Musikinstitut in Stockholm, completing his soloist diploma examination in 1992. At the age of fifteen, J-E.\u00a0Gustafsson\u00a0placed well in the EBU Young Musician competition in Copenhagen, and since then he has performed world wide both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He has appeared with numerous distinguished orchestras such as the London SO, the Bournemouth SO, the Netherlands RSO, the Danish RSO, the Swedish RSO and the Stockholm Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Jerusalem SO, the Washington National SO, the New York and Vienna Chamber Orchestras, Camerata Bern and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared with nearly all Finnish orchestras. In 1994, Jan-Erik\u00a0Gustafsson\u00a0signed a contract with the American YCA agency. Consequently, he regularly gives solo recitals on tour in the USA, Europe and the Far East at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Brahms Hall in Vienna. At chamber music festivals worldwide, he has collaborated with Pinchas Zukerman, Ralf Goth\u00f3ni, Leif-Ove Andsnes, Paavali Jumppanen and Arto Satukangas. Jan-Erik\u00a0Gustafsson\u00a0has made several recordings for Ondine. His disc featuring Cello Sonatas by Szymanowski, Kod\u00e1ly and Schnittke was nominated Record of the Year. Jan-Erik\u00a0Gustafsson\u00a0is the director of Loviisa Sibelius Festival and teaches as well at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.<\/div><\/div>\n
