Allegro vivo<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"980\" data-end=\"997\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">PETR NOUZOVSK\u00dd is one of the most outstanding Czech cellists of his generation, performing on some of the world\u2019s most prestigious stages, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Regentenbau in Bad Kissingen, Pau Casals Auditorium in El Vendrell, Rudolfinum in Prague, and the Herkulessaal in Munich. His playing is highly acclaimed for its exceptional technical elegance and original, architecturally refined interpretative style. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He is a frequent guest at major Czech music festivals such as Prague Spring, the Leo\u0161 Jan\u00e1\u010dek International Music Festival, and Dvo\u0159\u00e1k Prague, and regularly collaborates with most Czech and Slovak orchestras. Internationally, he has appeared with renowned ensembles including the Nagoya Philharmonic, Krak\u00f3w Philharmonic, and Philharmonie S\u00fcdwestfalen, working with conductors such as Jakub Hr\u016f\u0161a, Petr Popelka, Jonathan Judd, and Carlo Scaglione. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Nouzovsk\u00fd has recorded 29 CDs for labels including Brilliant Classics, Dabringhaus und Grimm, Albany Records, Supraphon, and ArcoDiva. His interpretations have often been compared to those of legendary cellists Mstislav Rostropovich (Classica Magazine) and Sa\u0161a Ve\u010dtomov (Harmonie). His recording of Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s Cello Concerto in B minor (with the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Stanislav Vav\u0159\u00ednek) was named the best historical recording of the work by Fanfare magazine (July\/August 2022, Jerry Dubins). <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In 2020, he recorded the complete cello works of Bohuslav Martin\u016f for the first time (with the Pilsen Philharmonic, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Brauner, Miroslav Sekera, and Gary Wyss). Nouzovsk\u00fd studied in Prague, Dresden, and Madrid, and has participated in masterclasses led by Mstislav Rostropovich, Lynn Harrell, and Boris Pergamenschikov. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In 2022, he took part in a historic event by giving the world premiere of Martin\u016f\u2019s Romance together with pianist Martin Kas\u00edk. He has also premiered works by composers Kopelent, \u0160tochl, and Srnka. Over his 22-year solo career, Nouzovsk\u00fd has given nearly 3,000 concerts in 40 countries across four continents. He plays a cello made in 1921 by Viennese master Georg Rauer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3504\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">ANDREAS LEND is one of Estonia\u2019s most acclaimed cellists. He began his musical studies at the Tallinn Music High School in the cello class of Leho Leichter and earned his master\u2019s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (prof. Peeter Paemurru). He furthered his studies at the Sibelius Academy in Finland (2005\u20132006, profs. Hannu Kiiski and Hannu Pekkarinen). <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Lend has participated in masterclasses with many internationally renowned cellists, including Frans Helmerson, David Geringas, Michael Ostertag, Jan-Erik Gustafsson, Niklas Ullner, Marko Yl\u00f6nen, M\u00e1rcio de Oliveira Pinto, Alexander Ivashkin, and J\u00f6rg Goritzki, among others. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He has achieved notable success at international competitions, winning First Prize and the Grand Prix at the \u201cRenaissance\u201d International Competition-Festival (Armenia, 2013), First Prize at the ESTA Estonian National Competition for Young Violinists and Cellists (2004), Third Prize at the August Dombrovski International String Competition (Riga, 2002), and a laureate title at the Liezen International Cello Competition (Austria, 2000). <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Lend has also been awarded scholarships from the prestigious International Holland Music Session Summer Academy (2009 and 2010) and received the PLMF \u201cYoung Musician 2011\u201d Award. In 2007, he was selected to join the European Union Youth Orchestra under chief conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy, touring extensively across Europe. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Nordica Chamber Orchestra, and the Youth Orchestra of America. In 2024, he made his solo debut at the Great Hall of the Cologne Philharmonie. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Lend worked as a cellist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (2006\u20132016) and has been a member of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra since 2016, serving as principal cellist since 2023. He is also a member of the string quartet Prezioso and the Estonian Cello Ensemble, and is active as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous other ensembles.
