\n<\/em>CAMILLA NYLUND<\/b> is one of the most well-known Finnish opera singers, who is in demand on various stages around the world. She began her studies with Prof. Eva Illes and later continued at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. For her outstanding achievement she was awarded the Lilli Lehmann Medal in 1995 by the International Foundation of the Mozarteum. C. Nylund was a member of the ensemble at the Dresden Semper Opera from 1999 until 2002 and ever since then she has been invited to perform at many of the world\u2019s leading opera houses including Covent Garden in London, San Francisco Opera, Metropolitan Opera New York, Hamburg State Opera, Zurich Opera, K\u00f6ln Opera, Theater an der Wien, Bavarian State Opera, Vienna State Opera, La Scala di Milano, Berlin Philharmonie, New National Theatre Tokyo, Paris Bastille, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam etc. She has performed in such major cities as Venice, Valencia, Chicago, Philadelphia, Lyon, Bayreuth, D\u00fcsseldorf, Munich, Helsinki etc. C. Future engagements include new productions \u201cDer Rosenkavalier\u201d and \u201cJen\u016ffa\u201d at the Staatsoper Berlin, \u201cErwartung\u201d at La Scala and in Frankfurt, \u201cDie Meistersinger von N\u00fcrnberg\u201d and \u201cLohengrin\u201d in Bayreuth, \u201cAriadne auf Naxos\u201d in Hamburg, \u201cDie Walk\u00fcre\u201d (Sieglinde), \u201cElektra\u201d (Chrysothemis) and \u201cDie Fledermaus\u201d (Rosalinde) in Wiener Staatsoper, \u201cDie tote Stadt\u201d in Munich, \u201cTosca\u201d in Helsinki etc.

\n<\/b>PEETER SARAPUU<\/b>\u00a0has for the majority of his career been connected to Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ENSO), where he worked between 1985-91 in the beginning and after seven seasons as the principal bassoonist in different Finnish orchestras again since 1998. Since 2005 he has been the principal bassoonist of the ENSO. As a soloist in front of an orchestra P. Sarapuu debuted in Mozart\u2019s Bassoon Concerto with the ENSO and with conductor Peeter Lilje (1986). He has repeatedly been a bassoon soloist in Eino Tamberg\u2019s \u201cConcerto grosso\u201d (1998 Arvo Volmer, 2010 Olari Elts, ENSO) and in Hindemith\u2019s Concerto for trumpet, bassoon and strings (2008 Nikolai Aleksejev, ENSO) and John Williams\u2019 bassoon concerto \u201cFive Sacred Trees\u201d (2012 Olari Elts, ENSO). In addition, he has been a soloist in front of the Chamber Orchestra of Lapland and the Vaasa City Orchestra with Vivaldi\u2019s, Mozart\u2019s and Weber\u2019s bassoon concertos. He has played with NYYD Ensemble, Drottingholm Baroque Orchestra, Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, the Sixth Floor Orchestra (Kuudennen Kerroksen Orkesteri), Opus X Ensemble (Finland), Corelli Consort, Reval Ensemble, The Theatre of Voices (Gr. Britain), Kesselberg Ensemble (Switzerland), Melomania (Netherlands) and many other collectives. P. Sarapuu\u2019s repertoire includes preferably early music on original instruments and contemporary music. Chamber music has always played an important part in his repertoire, and he has performed as soloist and a chamber musician of several Estonian and international music festivals including \u201cNYYD\u201d, \u201cM\u00e4rzmusik\u201d, \u201cKlangspuren\u201d, Bruges Festival, \u201cEuropa musicale\u201d, Haydn-Festival Vienna, La Folle Journ\u00e9e France and Japan etc. He has recorded music for the ENB archive and played as a soloist on several records. P. Sarapuu has been a Walter-artist from 2010. He has been nominated for the Estonian National Cultural Award twice (2012, 2016). Besides a career as a performer, for over two decades P. Sarapuu has taught students at several Finnish educational institutions, the Tallinn Music High School, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and in several master courses.<\/span><\/p>\n
