XV TALLINN CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL 21st \u2013 30th of August 2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The festival has become a tradition and belongs to the top events of Estonian classical music. On 21st of August, the jubilee festival will begin with the Music Day at the Swedish St. Michael\u2019s Church<\/strong>, where the performers will be young musicians from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Tallinn Music High School, Old Town Educational College and various music schools.<\/p>\n

On the evening of solo songs on the 22nd of August<\/strong>, the Marje and Kuldar Sink\u00a0award of PLMF \u201cYoung Singer 2019\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0will be presented for the fourteenth time<\/strong>\u00a0by Mari-Ann and Tunne Kelam\u00a0at Tallinn Town Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The festival will feature the\u00a0world premiere<\/strong>\u00a0of composer\u00a0Aaro Pertmann\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0piece\u00a0\u201cSongs of Siuru\u201d,\u00a0<\/strong>written for soprano, saxophone, cello and accordion.<\/p>\n

At nine festival concerts, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy Estonian top musicians\u00a0Kristel P\u00e4rtna<\/strong>,\u00a0Irina Zahharenkova<\/strong>,\u00a0Sigrid Kuulmann<\/strong>,Atlan Karp<\/strong>,\u00a0Andreas Lend<\/strong>,\u00a0Ralf Taal<\/strong>\u00a0and many others, as well as foreign guests from Denmark and Russia. Chamber ensemble\u00a0Trio Hemeis<\/strong>\u00a0will end the festival on\u00a030th of August at Town Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The esteemed music festival of our beautiful capital is designed to decorate and enrich the cultural image of Tallinn and the whole of Estonia. The festival has been awarded with the EFFE quality mark of the European Festivals Association from 2015 to 2018.<\/p>\n
