This piano trio is similar in its structure to the Tchaikovsky’s Trio in A Minor\, which was dedicated to Nikolai Rubinstein. The premiere of the piece took place in Moscow on 31st of January in 1894\, where Rachmaninoff himself performed the piano part. Australian pianist Alan Kogosowski orchestrated the piece for piano and orchestra\, which became the Concerto élégiaque in D Minor\, op 9b. Alan Kogosowski has recorded this work with Neeme Järvi and Detroit Symphony Orchestra. \n\n\nSIGRID KUULMANN\nis one of the most distinguished violin players. S. Kuulmann has finished Tallinn Music High School and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT\, Prof. Tiiu Peäske). She has furthered her skills in London Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Düsseldorf Robert Schumann Hochschule in the violin class of maestro David Oistrahh’s student Prof. Rosa Fain. Her playing has been guided by\, among others\, professors Igor Bezrodny\, Dmitri Sitkovetsky\, Michaela Martin\, Pavel Vernikov\, Yfrah Neaman and Jüri Gerretz and her studies have been supported by Corporation of London\, British Council Baltic States\, Deutscher Akademischer Austauchdienst and Cultural Endowment of Estonia. S. Kuulmann is the laureate-prize winner of the H. Eller Violin Competition as well as many other competitions\, she has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in many European countries and in Scandinavia. She has received special recognition for playing Estonian composers’\, especially E. Tubin’s works. She has been the first one to perform such pieces in Estonia as Lutoslawski Partita\, Berio Sequenza VIII\, Virkhaus Violin Concerto No. 2\, Bizet-Waxman “Carmen-Fantasia” etc. Her repertoire includes most of the major violin concerts\, sonatas and virtuoso pieces from baroque to contemporary. S. Kuulmann has done several recordings for Estonian Public Broadcasting (EPB)\, including Sibelius Violin Concert with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. In cooperation with ERR and Estonian Record Productions many CD-s have been completed\, the last one in 2012 featuring Eduard Tubin’s violin music with pianist Marko Martin. S. Kuulmann is a scholar of The Association of Estonian Professional Musicians\, Cultural Endowment of Estonia and PLMF since 2007. She is a PhD student of musical interpretation in EAMT (2014\, Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny) and she is also working there as a professor.\n\nANDREAS LEND\nis one of his generations most distinguished cellists in Estonia. He started his music studies in Tallinn Music High School\, aquired a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and furthered his skills in Finland Sibelius Academy. In addition\, he has taken part of many internationally acknowledged cellist’s master classes (F. Helmerson\, D. Geringas\, M. Ostertag etc.). A. Lend has gotten awards at many competitions\, including I Prize and Grand Prix at the International Competition-Festival “Renaissance” (Armenia\, 2013)\, I Prize at the ES-TA Estonian nationwide Violinists’ and Cellists’ Competition (2004) etc. In 2007 A. Lend was chosen to be a part of the European Union Youth Orchestra which he has performed with across Europe. As a soloist and an ensemble partner he has performed in numerous foreign countries in-cluding Denmark\, Germany\, Italy etc. and he has been invited to Tallinn Chamber Music Festival\, Kuopio Historical Keyboards Festival in Finland\, Valle d’Itria Festival in Italy etc. During the last few years he cooperated with many string quartets and orchestras and at the moment he is active in National Opera Estonia Symphony Orchestra\, string quartet Prezioso and Estonian Cello Ensemble and he is also active as a chamber musician in several other compositions.\n\n\nRALF TAAL\nhas graduated from the Tallinn Music High School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT). In 1993\, he won the 1st Prize at the young pianists’ competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of E. Grieg and in 1994 R. Taal won the National Pianists’ Competition and Young Interprets’ Competition-Festival “Con Brio”. He was a scholar of the Estonian Concert for the 1994/95 concert season. In 1995\, he was awarded with a special prize at the Schubert International Pianists’ Competition in Dortmund for being the youngest finalist. R. Taal has performed as a soloist with almost all Estonian orchestras and he has given numerous solo concerts. He has cooperated with such outstanding conductors as Eri Klas\, Paavo Järvi\, Olari Elts\, Arvo Volmer\, Tõnu Kaljuste\, Anu Tali etc. His solo programs mostly include music from Schubert\, Beethoven and Chopin. In addition to being active as a soloist R. Taal is also a valued ensemble partner for several vocal and instrumental soloists\, including singers Mati Palm\, Ain Anger\, Pille Lill\, Helen Lokuta\, Monika-Evelin Liiv and instrumentalists Indrek Vau\, Oksana Sinkova\, Toomas Vavilov\, Andrus Haav etc. R. Taal is working as a pedagogue at the EAMT and at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and he was a concertmaster at the Estonian National Opera (1998-2014).  In 2011\, he was rewarded with the annual award of the Estonian Culture Endowment’s Music (Sound Design) Fund. In 2014\, he released his solo album with Chopin’s piano music “Magic of Sound” (Estonian Record Productions).

Andante sostenuto\nScherzo\nAllegretto \n\n\nPILLE LILL\nis a renowned opera singer and a cultural activist\, starting her journey as a musician with piano studies at Pärnu Children’s Music School. She has graduated the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (EAMT) with two specialties – music pedagogy and opera singing. She continued her studies at the master’s level of the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama and defended her master’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy. During 2004–2011 she furthered her skills at the doctorate level of EAMT (Prof. Jaakko Ryhänen) and in 2005-2006 at the University of Music Karlsruhe. In addition\, she has taken part of the masterclasses of several world-famous musicians (E. Söderström\, I. Gage\, E. Kirkby\, M. Sillem\, W. Vernocchi\, G. Hinz etc.). P. Lill has performed as an opera\, oratorio and chamber music singer in numerous countries. She has sung lead roles in nearly 30 operas and cooperated with distinguished conductors. She has premiered several works of contemporary composers\, she has done numerous recordings for Estonian Public Broadcasting and her voice is captured on many CD-s. P. Lill has been awarded with the Big Dipper Award for Best Female Singer (1996) and she has been a laureate of the Georg Ots prize (2002)\, a grantee of the Wagner Society Scholarship (1998) and the 3rd class honoree of the Order of Bishop Platon (2005). She has been rewarded with the UNICEF Bluebird Award (2009)\, the Music Endowments’ Annual Award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment (2014)\, the 4th class Order of the White Star (2016) and the Esther of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Estonia (2017). From 1997 to 2003 P. Lill was a teacher in EAMT (assistant professor since 2003 and she has given master classes in several countries (Germany\, Finland\, Russia\, Belarus\, Latvia\, Israel etc.). She has been a part of the jury of international competitions for opera singers and she is the creator and a jury member of the National Vocal Contest (2009\, 2013\, 2017). From 2003-2009 she was a board member of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians and at this time she is a board member of the Estonian Chamber of Culture and the Finnish-Estonian Culture Fund. In 2003\, she founded PLMF Music Trust and she is the creator and leader of PLMF Academia Nova learning center since 2017. \n\nEVE NEUMANN \nstarted musical studies in the piano class of Keila Music School and continued in the Georg Ots Music School\, where she studied saxophone. She has obtained a diploma as a soloist and orchestral player in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (2002\, Prof. Olavi Kasemaa). In addition to several master classes (J. Pettersson\, C. Johnsson\, C. Bois)\, she has also improved her skills at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Prof. Pekka Savijoki) and at the Netherland Utrecht Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten (Prof. Johan van der Linden). E. Neumann has participated in festival “Saxomania” (1997)\, competition for young interprets “Con Brio” (2002) and in 2003\, Eve won IV place and diploma at the H. Kareva International Competition for Saxophone Players. She has cooperated with the harpsichord player Ene Nael\, organists Tiia Tenno and Pille Metsson\, Tallinn Saxophone Quartet and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. E. Neumann has worked as a teacher at Tallinn Music School\, Viimsi Music School and Keila Music School. She is a member and one of the founders of saxophone quartet Quattro Quarti and a founder and board member of Estonian Saxophone Association. E. Neumann is a member of the NATO Saxophone Orchestra created in 2015 with which she gave a concert at the 17th World Saxophone Congress and Festival. In 2016 she put together saxophone quartet FinEst in which saxophone players of the orchestras of the Estonian Defence Forces and Finnish Guard joined forces. In addition\, she has gained an MA degree on free and contemporary improvisation (2019) and is as active advocate of this art form. E. Neumann works as a principal saxophonist in the Orchestra of the Estonian Defence Forces. \n \nMAANO MÄNNI\nhas graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (1992\, Prof. Jüri Gerretz). He has worked as a concert master at the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (1993-1996) and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (1993-2000) and since 2002 at the Vaasa City Orchestra in Finland. In addition to orchestral work\, M. Männi is an active chamber musician\, performing with international musicians such as Ralf Gothoni (piano)\, Torleif Thedéen (cello)\, Yuval Gotlibovich (viola) etc. In 2001\, M. Männi co-founded\, with cellist Aare Tammesalu\, the Tobias String Quartet\, with which they have played in several parts of Europe\, including Konzerthaus in Berlin (2015) and Capella Hall in St. Petersburg (2018). He has been a soloist in front of several orchestras conducted by outstanding conductors\, including Neeme Järvi\, Alexander Vedernikov\, Andrei Boreiko\, Arvo Volmer\, Juha Kangas\, Jin Wang and others. M. Männi has furthered his skills at the orchestral conducting courses of Jorma Panula\, Leonid Grin and Ilmar Tõnisson. He has led the Estonian Sinfonietta as well as Vaasa and Pärnu City orchestras. He likes to synthesize musical styles and put together unique concert programs. In Vaasa\, the concerts conducted by M. Männi which are meant for various audiences (school and senior concerts)\, as well as wish concerts (“Sinun hetkesi-Din stund”\, the Flamenco and Tango Nuevo concerts\, the Tchaikovsky portrait)\, have earned the audience’s favour. In 2015\, he directed Glass Bead Game Sinfonietta at Evald Vainu’s jubilee concerts “Optimist” with the actors of the Tallinn City Theatre in Estonia’s major concert halls\, which were also recorded for ETV. M. Männi has recorded for several record companies including Erdeklang\, Ondine and Alba Records. In 2012\, the CD “Six seasons +” was released\, where he performs the works of Astor Piazzolla and Evald Vainu for violin and orchestra as the soloist of the Pärnu City Orchestra. The record has received positive feedback\, and music critic Igor Garshnek has said: ““Six seasons +” to every record shelf!” (Sirp\, 2013/10/04). In 2014\, the Vaasa City Orchestra CD was released called “Finnish Lyricism and Romance” on which M. Männi plays as a soloist in Toivo Kuula’s violin piece Notturno Op. 3a/2 orchestrated by himself. During the 2017/2018 concert season\, he led Vaasa City Orchestra on several occasions\, where\, among others\, a reputable soprano Camilla Nylund appeared as a soloist. With the Estonian Sinfonietta\, he has had close cooperation since the founding of the orchestra in January 2017. Together they have performed at various festivals in Estonia (e.g. Kuressaare Chamber Festival)\, as well as in Greece and Israel. In 2019\, M. Männi performed in front of the Estonian Sinfonietta at the Estonian Concert Hall as a soloist\, conductor as well as concert master and he performed at the Golden Hall of Vienna Musikverein\, with Kristiina Poska as the conductor. As of 2016\, M. Männi plays on the French master Charles François Gandi’s violin from 1810 of the Finnish Cultural Endowment.\n \nKRISTINA KRIIT\nhas obtained her master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny\, 2004) and furthered her skills with Prof. Igor Bezrodny\, Eduard Schmieder\, Pavel Vernikov and Hermann Krebbers. In addition\, she has studied in Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (2001-2002\, Prof. Hermann Krebbers). K. Kriit has taken part of several international competitions\, from which the most important are Heino Eller Competition in Tallinn (special prize\, 1996) and Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Poland (Lublin\, 1997). K. Kriit is a valued contemporary musician and she has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in almost every country of Europe and Scandinavia. She has twice been a scholar of the reputed Holland Music Sessions. In 2005 K. Kriit was one of the founders of Tallinn String Trio and in 2009 trio “Madrigal” with flute and piano. She is a professor and a PhD student in EAMT (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny) and a II concert master of the Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian National Opera.\n\nJOHANNA VAHERMÄGI\nbegan her musical studies at the age of 6 at the Tallinn Music High School\, graduated in 2007 with honours. She has been a student of prof. Viljar Kuusk at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre\, prof. Avri Levitan at the International Centre for Excellence for Strings (Spain) and received her BA in music in 2013 from the Aragon Higher Conservatory of Music (Spain) with prof. Avri Levitan. She was the recipient of the 1st prize at the 3rd International Competition for Soloists “Illa de Menorca FIDAH” (2011) and also at the 2014 chamber music competition of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She has performed as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra\, European Youth Orchestra\, Chamber Orchestra of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance\, Tallinn Music High School Symphony Orchestra\, etc. She has participated in the master classes of Tabea Zimmermann\, Haim Taub\, Nicolas Chumachenko\, Amihai Grosz\, Gilad Karni\, Mikhail Zemtsov\, etc. She has been invited to perform at many international chamber music festivals such as the Berlin Music Festival (Germany)\, Voice of Music festival (Israel)\, Ravello Festival (Italy)\, Festival della Valle d’Itria (Italy)\, Järvi Music Festival (Estonia) etc\, and has performed chamber music with partners such as Guy Braunstein\, Amihai Grosz\, Nicolas Chumachenko\, Avri Levitan\, Roi Shiloah\, Alexander Pavlovsky\, Zvi Plesser\, Ohad Ben Ari\, etc. In addition she has collaborated with various chamber orchestras (Reina Sofia Chamber Orchestra\, Tallinn Sinfonietta\, etc) and with the international contemporary music ensemble “Ensemble Plural” (cond. Fabian Panisello)\, with whom she has recorded a CD for Radio Bremen (Germany). At present she is collaborating freelance with the Barcelona Liceu Opera Theatre Orchestra\, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra\, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and is obtaining her MA degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with prof. Roi Shiloah.\n\nANDREAS LEND\nis one of his generations most distinguished cellists in Estonia. He started his music studies in Tallinn Music High School\, aquired a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and furthered his skills in Finland Sibelius Academy. In addition\, he has taken part of many internationally acknowledged cellist’s master classes (F. Helmerson\, D. Geringas\, M. Ostertag etc.). A. Lend has gotten awards at many competitions\, including I Prize and Grand Prix at the International Competition-Festival “Renaissance” (Armenia\, 2013)\, I Prize at the ES-TA Estonian nationwide Violinists’ and Cellists’ Competition (2004) etc. In 2007 A. Lend was chosen to be a part of the European Union Youth Orchestra which he has performed with across Europe. As a soloist and an ensemble partner he has performed in numerous foreign countries in-cluding Denmark\, Germany\, Italy etc. and he has been invited to Tallinn Chamber Music Festival\, Kuopio Historical Keyboards Festival in Finland\, Valle d’Itria Festival in Italy etc. During the last few years he cooperated with many string quartets and orchestras and at the moment he is active in National Opera Estonia Symphony Orchestra\, string quartet Prezioso and Estonian Cello Ensemble and he is also active as a chamber musician in several other compositions. \n \nVLADIMIR RESHETKO \nhas studied in St. Petersburg and he continued his education in Amsterdam and Berlin. V. Reshetko has been the prizewinner of International Heran Cello Competition (1999). He has been awarded 1st prize and special prize for the best interpretation of a work by F. Schubert in International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and the Modern Music” (2009)\, 1st prize in C. Hennen Chamber Music Competition (2009) and 1st prize in Pergamenschikow Prize for Chamber Music (2011). He is a co-founder and a member of Anima Quartet. In the recent seasons\, he premiered Ana Sokolovic’s “Commedia dell’arte III” dedicated to Anima Quartet. All 3 parts were released by SWR Alassic Archive in 2016. In September 2017 V. Reshetko became a concert master of the cello group of Vaasa City Orchestra. He has toured across many countries and performed alongside eminent musicians. He has performed as a soloist with conductors Vasily Petrenko and Ravil Martynov in front of the St. Petersburg State Academic Orchestra. V. Reshetko has formed a wide solo\, chamber and an orchestra repertoire\, including works of contemporary\, classical and baroque styles.\nHis recent solo debut in Finland and premiere of A. Kraft’s  Cello Concerto was highly appreciated:\n“Vladimir Reshetko gave a powerfully moving musical performance. His deeply felt phrasing\, the rich and lyrical timbre of the cello\, as well as his masterful virtuosity delivered a fresh performance in Kraft’s Cello Concerto. The audience thanked the soloist with enthusiastic ovations.” –  Pohjalainen 30.03.2019\, Vaasa\n\n\nJAAK LUTSOJA\nhas graduated as an accordionist from Tallinn Lilleküla High School music class and from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School. He has been active as a freelance musician since 1997 and has for many years also taught at Saue Music School\, at the Heino Eller Tartu Music School and at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of several prominent ensembles. In addition to performing all over Europe\, Jaak Lutsoja has performed in the United States and Russia with a very wide repertoire from a variety of genres expanding from pop-jazz to classical and contemporary music. Jaak Lutsoja has performed together with musicians such as Kersti Ala-Murr\, Leho Karin\, Tõnu Jõesaar\, Oleg Pissarenko\, Erkki Otsman\, Siiri Sisask\, Silvi Vrait\, Tõnis Mägi\, Jaak Jürisson\, Hedvig Hanson\, Ardo Ran Varres\, and also with the chamber choir Revalia\, an accordion trio comprised of himself\, Henn Rebane and Allan Jakobi\, ensembles Noorkuu\, Karavan etc. Jaak Lutsoja has performed at many international music festivals and concert projects (Saksofon versus Saksofon\, 2008 Kumu) and opera productions (Tõnis Kaumann/Leelo Tungal Lopi ja Lapi\, 2008 Türi Spring Festival; Mari Vihmand Armastuse valem\, 2008 Estonian National Opera; W. A. Mozart The Magic Flute\, Nukuteater; dance production Carrrmen\, 2012 Vanemuine Theatre). Jaak Lutsoja was the headliner at the festival Visioon 2010 with a programme of his own compositions. The same year his first solo recording Contrarian Grooving was published\, comprising entirely of original creations. The album has been nominated as the European Jazz Radio Album of the Week twice. In cooperation with the soprano Kersti Ala-Murr and the New Music Quartet he has also published an album Vaikimine oleks vale (2010) and together with the Jaak Lutsoja Quintet the album Adiós Nonino (2013). In 2013 Jaak Lutsoja established the Accordion Club which was created for furthering the possibilities of playing the accordion.

He has graduated from Tallinn Music High School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT). In 1993\, he won the 1st Prize at the young pianists’ competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Edvard Grieg and in 1994 R. Taal won the National Pianists’ Competition and Young Interprets’ Competition-Festival “Con Brio”. He was a scholar of the Estonian Concert for the 1994/95 concert season. In 1995\, he was awarded with a special prize at the Schubert International Pianists’ Competition in Dortmund for being the youngest finalist. Ralf Taal has performed as a soloist with almost all Estonian orchestras and he has given numerous solo concerts. He has cooperated with such outstanding conductors as Eri Klas\, Paavo Järvi\, Olari Elts\, Arvo Volmer\, Tõnu Kaljuste\, Anu Tali etc. His solo programs mostly include music from Schubert\, Beethoven and Chopin. In addition to being active as a soloist R. Taal is also a valued ensemble partner for several vocal and instrumental soloists\, singers Mati Palm\, Ain Anger\, Pille Lill\, Helen Lokuta\, Monika-Evelin Liiv and instrumentalists Indrek Vau\, Oksana Sinkova\, Toomas Vavilov\, Andrus Haav among others. R. Taal is working as a pedagogue at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and he was a concert master at the Estonian National Opera (1998-2014).  In 2011\, he was rewarded with the annual award of the Estonian Culture Endowment’s Music (Sound Design) Fund. In 2014\, he released his solo album with Chopin’s piano music “Magic of Sound” (Estonian Record Productions).

Her versatility is extraordinary. She masters both lyric and highly dramatic parts giving her characters sublime inner life and complexity. Her range covers a broad repertoire of roles such as Tosca\, Madame Butterfly\, Mimi\, Desdemona\, Amelia\, Leonora\, Arabella\, Sieglinde\, Brangaene\, Rusalka\, Katerina Ismailova\, Kostelnicka and Emilia Marty. For the latter\, she was named singer of the year by leading German critics. Recently she was invited to open the Janácek Festival in Brno in the role of Emilia Marty in “Vec Makropulos”\, and the reviews were overflowing with success. The performance was recorded and was aired in The European Radio\, on Czechish TV and the show was awarded first prize for the best production of an opera in Czech Republic. In 2017 and 2018 she sang the role of “The Mother” in the premiere of Louise Alenius’ successful opera “Silent Zone” at the Copenhagen Opera Festival. G.-M. Sjöberg received her education from the Opera Academy in Copenhagen where she was trained and coached by the great Finnish bass singer and professor Kim Borg. Nowadays she is often also asked to sit in jury’s for young singers competitions and big foundations. For 10 years already she shares her experiences and teaches many masterclasses every year around the world\, invited to teach at festivals\, Music Academy’s and Opera-Academy’s Studios for young promising talents who benefit from her coaching and large experience. Among her many masterclasses in 2019 she coached the Singers in the Nordic Masterclass for conductors and singers with the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra and Jorma Panula. The large interest she has for lieder and songs inspired her to establish a new festival in Sweden called “Nordic Song Festival”\, which had its successful opening in the summer of 2014. The festival consists of a mix of masterclasses\, concerts and artistic research. In the spring of 2019 a new recording of Russian and Danish Songs with the Russian pianist Polina Fradkina was released. Since March 2013 G.-M. Sjöberg is the Chairman of the Birgit Nilsson Society. She has received many awards\, a. o. the Birgit Nilsson Award and has been Knighted by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark giving her the title of Knight of Dannebrog first grade.\n\n\nTOBIAS VAN DER PALS\nhas studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music\, Piteå and the Royal Academy of Music\, London. At the final exam in London\, he was awarded the highest grade\, “distinction” and “DipRAM” – the Royal Academy of Music’s highest award for solo performance. In 2008\, he won the Royal Danish Academy of Music’s cello competition and in 2009 T. van der Pals performed his debut concert\, for which he exclusively received enthusiastic reviews. The concert was broadcasted by Danmarks Radio P2. T. van der Pals has participated in a large number of master classes and has performed at a large number of international festivals. He has received numerous honors\, artist scholarships and grants. As a soloist\, T. van der Pals has performed with orchestras\, choirs\, solo works and with chamber ensembles in a large part of the world. He has recorded for Danmarks Radio and BBC and participated in a large number of other CD recordings. Tobias has worked in the KGL Chapel\, Malmö\, and Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. He has worked as a concert master at the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (1993-1996) and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (1993-2000) and since 2002 at the Vaasa City Orchestra in Finland. In addition to orchestral work\, M. Männi is an active chamber musician\, performing with international musicians such as Ralf Gothoni (piano)\, Torleif Thedéen (cello)\, Yuval Gotlibovich (viola) etc. In 2001\, M. Männi co-founded\, with cellist Aare Tammesalu\, the Tobias String Quartet\, with which they have played in several parts of Europe\, including Konzerthaus in Berlin (2015) and Capella Hall in St. Petersburg (2018). He has been a soloist in front of several orchestras conducted by outstanding conductors\, including Neeme Järvi\, Alexander Vedernikov\, Andrei Boreiko\, Arvo Volmer\, Juha Kangas\, Jin Wang and others. M. Männi has furthered his skills at the orchestral conducting courses of Jorma Panula\, Leonid Grin and Ilmar Tõnisson. He has led the Estonian Sinfonietta as well as Vaasa and Pärnu City orchestras. He likes to synthesize musical styles and put together unique concert programs. In Vaasa\, the concerts conducted by M. Männi which are meant for various audiences (school and senior concerts)\, as well as wish concerts (“Sinun hetkesi-Din stund”\, the Flamenco and Tango Nuevo concerts\, the Tchaikovsky portrait)\, have earned the audience’s favour. In 2015\, he directed Glass Bead Game Sinfonietta at Evald Vainu’s jubilee concerts “Optimist” with the actors of the Tallinn City Theatre in Estonia’s major concert halls\, which were also recorded for ETV. M. Männi has recorded for several record companies including Erdeklang\, Ondine and Alba Records. In 2012\, the CD “Six seasons +” was released\, where he performs the works of Astor Piazzolla and Evald Vainu for violin and orchestra as the soloist of the Pärnu City Orchestra. The record has received positive feedback\, and music critic Igor Garshnek has said: ““Six seasons +” to every record shelf!” (Sirp\, 2013/10/04). In 2014\, the Vaasa City Orchestra CD was released called “Finnish Lyricism and Romance” on which M. Männi plays as a soloist in Toivo Kuula’s violin piece Notturno Op. 3a/2 orchestrated by himself. During the 2017/2018 concert season\, he led Vaasa City Orchestra on several occasions\, where\, among others\, a reputable soprano Camilla Nylund appeared as a soloist. With the Estonian Sinfonietta\, he has had close cooperation since the founding of the orchestra in January 2017. Together they have performed at various festivals in Estonia (e.g. Kuressaare Chamber Festival)\, as well as in Greece and Israel. In 2019\, M. Männi performed in front of the Estonian Sinfonietta at the Estonian Concert Hall as a soloist\, conductor as well as concert master and he performed at the Golden Hall of Vienna Musikverein\, with Kristiina Poska as the conductor. As of 2016\, M. Männi plays on the French master Charles François Gandi’s violin from 1810 of the Finnish Cultural Endowment.\n\nVLADIMIR RESHETKO \nhas studied in St. Petersburg and he continued his education in Amsterdam and Berlin. V. Reshetko has been the prizewinner of International Heran Cello Competition (1999). He has been awarded 1st prize and special prize for the best interpretation of a work by F. Schubert in International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and the Modern Music” (2009)\, 1st prize in C. Hennen Chamber Music Competition (2009) and 1st prize in Pergamenschikow Prize for Chamber Music (2011). He is a co-founder and a member of Anima Quartet. In the recent seasons\, he premiered Ana Sokolovic’s “Commedia dell’arte III” dedicated to Anima Quartet. All 3 parts were released by SWR Alassic Archive in 2016. In September 2017 V. Reshetko became a concert master of the cello group of Vaasa City Orchestra. He has toured across many countries and performed alongside eminent musicians. He has performed as a soloist with conductors Vasily Petrenko and Ravil Martynov in front of the St. Petersburg State Academic Orchestra. V. Jürgens started her music studies with violin and flute. Since 2014 she has been pursuing classical singing at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT\, Prof. Taimo Toomast\, Nadežda Kurem ja Eva Märtson-Wilson) and in addition learning contemporary improvisation (Prof. Anne-Liis Poll). He received his master’s degree and graduated from the opera studio of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London (2006). He was the soloist of the Estonian National Opera between 2008-2017 and is working as a freelancer now. From the most important roles his repertoire includes: Faust (Gounod “Faust”)\, Nemorino (Donizetti “The Elixir of Love”\, Liverpool\, UK)\, Don Ramiro (Rossini “La Cenerentola”)\, Sesto (Händel “Julius Caesar”)\, Fenton (Verdi “Falstaff”) etc. He has taken part of the recording of Fleishman’s opera “Rotchild’s Violin” together with the Liverpool Royal Symphony Orchestra and sung the role of Enjolras in Schönberg’s/Boublil’s musical “Les Miserables”. O. Kuusik has performed as an oratorio and chamber music singer in over 25 different grand musical works and given concerts in Estonia as well as several foreign countries. In 2010 O. Kuusik was rewarded with the annual “Crystal Shoe” Award of the Estonian Theatre Union\, in 2009 he was chosen as a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques (Montreal\, Canada)\, in 2008 he received the annual Estonian Theatre Award for his singing in Britten’s “Turn of the Screw” and he has been awarded with the PLMF award “Young Singer 2005”. Kai Ratassepp graduated from the piano class of Ruuta Taras and Lilian Semper at Tallinn Music High School in 1988 and continued her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music under the guidance of Lilian Semper and Peep Lassmann. He has furthered his knowledge in London with professors David Campbell\, Julian Farrell and Colin Courtney. During his studies at the Royal College of Music M. Kari won the Frederick Thurston an-nual clarinettist award (1997) and the Senior Exhibitioner scholarship. In cooperation with the pia-nist Marko Martin they won the III Prize at the UK Howarth Young Clarinettist Competition (1998). M. Kari has worked in Richmond Chamber Symphony Orchestra as a concert master of the clarinet group and as a piano teacher in different schools in London and its vicinity.\nFrom 2002\, he is working in the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra as an assistant concert master of the clarinet group and he is teaching in Tallinn Music High School. M. Kari is constantly giving concerts all over Estonia and he is an expected performer at the Tallinn Chamber Music Fes-tival and Tallinn Winter Festival. He has represented Estonia in the World Philharmonic Orchestra in Paris and he is taking part of Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Nyyd Ensemble projects. M. Kari is a PLMF Music Trust scholar.\n\n\nTOOMAS VAVILOV\nfinished his clarinet studies in 1988 at TMKK (Tallinn Music High School\, Ülo Üksik) and in 1992 at EMA (Estonian Academy of Music\, Hannes Altrov) and in 1998 at the same place as an orchestral conductor (Jüri Alperten). He has furthered his skills in the field of conducting with Jonas Aleksa and Roman Matsov; as a clarinettist he has attended the master classes of Karl Leister and Ivan Mozgovenko; in 1990 he won the first prize at the Estonian Brass Players Competition. Vavilov was ERSO’s (Estonian National Symphony Orchestra) second conductor from 2004 to 2006. In 2006/07 he was the music director and chief conductor of Vanemuine. He has led Estonian orchestras\, worked with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Latvian Radio Choir. As a clarinettist\, he has given concerts in Estonia\, Finland\, Sweden\, Latvia\, Germany\, Belgium\, Australia and elsewhere. He is a professor at EAMT and a teacher at the Brass Department\, he has continuously taught summer courses of brass students in Elva and Põltsamaa\, and he has been part of a jury of various competitions. Toomas Vavilov has received the Annual Prize of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia’s Sound Art Foundation in 2001 and an annual scholarship of the interpreter in 2005. \n\n\nNEEME OTS\nbegan his studies at the age of six under the guidance of his father\, dots. Aavo Ots and he has defended a bachelor’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (2011). Ots has been a soloist in front of several well-known orchestras\, he has been invited to perform as a soloist at several festivals and he has cooperated with such outstanding conductors as J.-P. Saraste\, K. Järvi\, L. Segerstam\, M. Lehtinen etc. He has been a concert master of the trumpet group in several different youth orchestras with which he has performed in Estonia and abroad. In 2015\, his first CD “Baroque Pictures” was released in cooperation with the organ player Tiia Tenno.\nKIRILL LISSIJENKO\nhas graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) in 2010 (prof. Lilian Semper\, Irina Zahharenkova\, Age Juurikas). In 2016\, he graduated from master’s level of the Sibelius Academy in the piano class of Hui-Ying Liu-Tawaststjerna and from EAMT in the chamber music class of Matti Reimann. Kirill has furthered his skills in the master classes of pianists like Tamas Ungar\, Rolf Plagge\, Cyprien Katsaris\, Daniel Pollack. He has successfully taken part of piano competitions “Helm Valtman” and “Con Brio” in Tallinn. In 2015\, he obtained the 2nd Prize at the Alion Baltic International Music Competition. He is often performing in Estonia\, Finland\, Sweden and Russia and he has cooperated with two well-known singers – Maria Veretenina and Nadia Kurem and the flutist Andre Cebrian Garea. In 2009–2010 she studied at Sibelius Academy with Anssi Hirvonen within the Erasmus program. She was the grantee of Mati Palm Foundation in 2010 and the grantee of the NO Opera Academy in 2010–2012. In 2012 Kristel studied at Accademia del Belcanto “Rodolfo Celletti” within the PLMF Young Talents Program. She is the soloist of the Estonian National Opera since the autumn of the same year. Her repertoire includes Verdi’s Violetta (“La traviata”)\, Gilda (“Rigoletto”) and Oscar (“Un ballo in maschera”)\, Adina (Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore”)\, Händel’s Cleopatra (“Julius Caesar”) and Armida (“Rinaldo”)\, Mercédes (Bizet’s “Carmen”)\, Mozart’s Arminda (“La finta giardiniera”)\, Leonora (Hindemith’s “The Long Christmas Dinner”)\, Mademoiselle Silberklang (“Der Schauspieldirektor”) and the First boy (“Die Zauberflöte”)\, Wagner’s 1st Flower Maiden (“Parsifal”)\, Mari’s voice (A. Hirv’s “Fire Enchanter”)\, Clotilde (Bellini’s “Norma”)\, Euridice (Rossi/Terranova “L’Orfeo. Immagini di una lontananza”). In 2012 she received the Marje and Kuldar Sink “Young Singer Award”. \nAULE URB\nbegan vocal studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the class of Prof. Jaakko Ryhänen\, where she obtained master’s degree cum laude under the guidance of Eva Wilson-Märtson (2017). She has furthered her skills as an exchange student at the Sibelius Academy and attended the “Rodolfo Celletti” Belcanto Academy as well as the Opera Festival in Martina Franca\, Italy. A. Urb has won awards at a number of competitions\, including the Klaudia Taev Competition for Opera Singers (semi-finalist)\, the PLMF National Vocalists’ Competition dedicated to Vello Jürna (3rd Prize)\, the Mart Saar Vocal Competition (2nd Prize) and the EAMT Lied-duo Competition\, together with Mariin Gill (1st Prize). In 2017\, she was a scholar of the Estonian Richard Wagner Society. A. Urb has been working as a choir artist and soloist of the Estonian National Opera since 2015. Her roles include Maria (Puur “Colours of the Clouds”)\, Dunyasha (Rimsky-Korsakov “The Tsar’s Bride”)\, Annina (Verdi “La Traviata”)\, Gertrude (Gounod “Romeo and Juliet”) and Alice the Fox (Ehala “Buratino”). A. Urb is the creator of the idea of Metsikud Mezzod (Wild Mezzos) and one of the founders of the Opera Veto Opera Studio. \nATLAN KARP \nis one of his generations most outstanding opera soloists of Estonia. He has studied in Georg Ots Tallinn Music School (prof. Tõnu Bachmann)\, Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (prof. Ivo Kuusk) and obtained his Master’s degree at the Sibelius Academy in Finland (prof. Jorma Hynninen and Pekka Kähkönen). He has furthered his skills in the Maria Theatre of St. Petersburg and participated in the masterclasses of G. Janowitz\, T. Krause\, L. Gergijeva\, D. Hvorostovsky\, J. Obrastsova\, A. Amaretto and H. Hagegård. During 2007-2012 he was working in Vanemuine Theater as a leading soloist. A. Karp has been rewarded with the I prize in Tiit Kuusik International Competition (2000). His most important roles include: Jago (Verdi “Othello”)\, Scarpia (Puccini “Tosca”)\, Rigoletto (Verdi “Rigoletto”)\, Count di Luna (Verdi “Il trovatore”)\, Lescaut (Massenet “Manon”)\, Sharpless (Puccini “Madame Butterfly”)\, Figaro (Mozart “Le nozze di Figaro”)\, Kurwenal (Wagner “Tristan und Isolde”)\, Leandro (Prokofiev “Love for three oranges”\, NO Estonia)\, Vodnik (Dvořák “Rusalka”\, Helsinki Alexander Theater)\, Don Alfonso (Mozart “Cosi fan tutte”\, Savonlinna Music Academy)\, Onegin (Tchaikovsky “Jevgeni Onegin”\, Sibelius Academy)\, Klingsor (Wagner “Parsifal”)\, Orestes (Strauss “Elektra”)\, George III (Davies “Eight Songs for a Mad King”\, Pärnu Opera) etc. His repertoire of grand pieces is very versatile (Brahms “Ein Deutsches Requiem”\, Beethoven Symphony No. 9\, Rachmaninoff “The Bells”\, Vaughan Williams “A Sea Symphony”\, Rossini “Petite Messe Solennelle” A. Kallastu “Cromwell’s letzte nacht” etc.). A. Karp has given numerous solo concerts and he has performed songs by Russian\, French\, German\, Finnish and Estonian composers from classical pieces to contemporary ones.\n\nTIINA KÄRBLANE \nhas studied at Tallinn Music High School and graduated from the Tallinn State Conservatory in the piano class of Prof. Bruno Lukk in 1985. She continued her studies in Leningrad Conservatory in the chamber music department under the guidance of Prof. Tamara Fidler. Her first job was at the Tallinn National Conservatory as an accompanist in the string department. At the same time\, there were several concert tours across the former Soviet Union\, in the service of Soyuz Concert (with the soloist violin player Jüri Gerretz). In 1991\, the teaching job continued at the Kuopio Conservatory and at the Sibelius-Academy. Tiina has had several successful performances at national string competitions in Estonia and Finland as well as at international competitions (Riga\, 1984; Geneva\, 1990; as a competitor A. Leibur). From 2000-2014 Tiina Kärblane was at the service of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK)\, teaching accompanying and correpetition. From 2003-2013 she worked as a correpetitor at the Tampere Opera. That job brought her together with a number of Finnish and European distinguished singers\, directors and conductors. Tiina started to teach at opera studio in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in autumn 2013.

Vapavuori etc.) and won first prizes in such international competitions as M. Čiurlionis Competition (Lithuania\, 2003)\, “Premio Jaén” Competition (Spain\, 2004)\, hammer piano competition in Bruges at the “Van Vlaanderen” Festival (Belgium\, 2004)\, competition in Épinal (France\, 2004)\, harpsichord competition at “Prague Spring” Festival (Czech\, 2005)\, G. Enescu Piano Competition (Rumania\, 2005)\, Geneva Piano Competition (Switzerland\, 2005)\, Alessandro Casagrande Competition (Italy\, 2006)\, J. S. Bach Piano Competition in Leipzig (Germany\, 2006)\, Villa-Lobos Competition (Brazil\, 2006) and A. Rubinštein Piano Competition (Israel\, 2008). I. Zahharenkova has performed at many reputed international festivals in Italy\, France\, Germany\, Finland and Norway. At the reputed Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival as well as Eivere Piano Festival and Tallinn Chamber Music Festival she has continuously been at the top of the list of who’s invited. She has been a soloist in front of many orchestras including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra\, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra\, Helsinki City Orchestra\, Israel Philharmonic\, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Orchestre National de Lorraine and she is continuously performing at chamber concerts either with piano or harpsichord solo pieces. Two CD-s have been released with her interpretations: J. S. Bach Goldberg variations BWV 988 (2010\, Classical Recordings) and D. Scarlatt sonatas (2012\, Classical Recordings) and a DVD “Keyboard Juggleress / Klahvpillivõlur” (2009\, Estonian Records Production). Last recordings done in Japan and Zurich in the world’s leading recording studios in 2017 are soon to be released. I. Zahharenkova has an extensive repertory which comprises of pieces from baroque to contemporary music.  At this time\, she is a lecturer in Sibelius Academy\, Finland and EAMT. DESCRIPTION:XII Tallinn Winter Festival 19th – 23rd of February 2019  \nFestival Closing Gala\nFULL SPEED AHEAD\, ESTONIA\nSt Charles’ Church\n23rd February 16.00\nTallinn Music High School Symphony Orchestra\nEstonian National Opera Boys’ Choir (cond. Hirvo Surva)\nEstonian Theatre Association Mixed Choir (cond. Heli Jürgenson)\nsoloist Oliver Kuusik (tenore)  \nconductor Jaan Ots\nProgramme: Kreek Requiem\, Sibelius Symphony No. 7\nTickets 10€/5€    \n\nJAAN OTS\nis a pianist and a conductor born in Tallinn. He has conducted the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra\, Lahti Sinfonia\, Pärnu City Orchestra\, Narva City Symphony Orchestra and the German Hamburger Camerata. J. Ots held the position of assistant conductor at the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra for the season 2015-16 and conducted the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra\, leading a workshop for young composers. He has also conducted the performance of M. Ravel’s “L’enfant et les Sortileges” at Helsinki Musiikkitalo. In December of 2017 he made his debut at the Finnish National Opera with the performances of Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Nutcracker”. He was the assistant of Hannu Lintu at the Savonlinna Opera Festival\, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Nordea Jean Sibelis Orchestra. Since September of 2017 he is the conductor of Tallinn Music High School Symphony Orchestra. J. Ots has graduated from piano and trumpet studies at the Tallinn Music High School and obtained his bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He has been successful in both instruments winning prizes of more than 20 competitions in Estonia as well as abroad. He has obtained a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from Sibelius Academy\, where his professors were Leif Segerstam and Atso Almila. J. Ots has furthered his skills as an exchange student at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM) and taken part of the master classes of Jukka-Pekka Saraste\, Susanna Mälkki\, Mikko Francki\, Neeme Järvi\, Paavo Järvi\, Thomas Sanderling and David Zinman. He is performing regularly with Piano Trio TEOS and the Frielinghaus Ensemble\, who he has performed with in Finland\, Germany and Switzerland. \nTALLINN MUSIC HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA\n has been active for more than 30 years. The orchestra comprises of students in classes IX–XII and during one school year the orchestra prepares for an audience three different programs on average. In the versatile repertoire of the orchestra the music of classicism and romanticism as well as the music of the composers of the 20th and 21st century is represented\, including the works of Estonian composers as well as premieres of contemporary works. TMHS Symphony Orchestra has cooperated with several choirs such as the Estonian National Male Choir\, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir\, Voces Musicales\, TMHS Youth Choir and Chamber Choir. This season began with a performance at the Teacher of the Year gala at the Estonia Concert Hall for the orchestra. In December they gave a concert in the White Hall of the House of the Blackheads\, where they performed Schubert’s Symphony No. 3\, Bruch’s Violin Concerto and Reinecke’s Flute Concerto. In April they will perform in the jubilee concert series of Tõnu Kõrvits with a concert in Estonia Concert Hall as well as in Jõhvi Concert Hall\, where they will join forces with the TMHS Chamber Choir and Chamber Choir Head Ööd\, Vend (Good Night\, Brother). They will perform two notable works – Tõnu Kõrvits’ “Kreek’s Notebook” and Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No. 7. Since the autumn of 2017 the chief conductor of the orchestra is Jaan Ots. Between 1987-2006 the chief conductor was Toomas Kapten\, from September of 2006 until the spring of 2011 Risto Joost\, 2011-2015 Mikk Murdvee and 2015-2017 Edmar Tuul. They have also played under several guest conductors (Volmer\, Alperten\, Färber\, König\, Ahvenainein etc). Concert travels have taken the orchestra to Germany\, Sweden\, Finland\, France\, Scotland and Belgium. \nOLIVER KUUSIK\n is one of his generations most outstanding opera soloists in Estonia\, who studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Associate Prof. Pille Lill and Prof. Virgilius Noreika. He received his master’s degree in 2006 and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London). He was the soloist of the Estonian National Opera between 2008-2017 and is working as a freelancer now. From the most important roles his repertoire includes Faust (Gounod’s Faust)\, Nemorino (Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love\, Liverpool\, UK)\, Don Ramiro (Rossini’s La Cenerentola)\, Sesto (Händel’s Julius Caesar)\, Fenton (Verdi’s Falstaff) etc. He has taken part of the recording of Fleishman’s opera Rotchild’s Violin together with the Liverpool Royal Symphony Orchestra and sung the role of Enjolras in Schönberg’s/Boublil’s musical Les Miserables.\n O. Kuusik has performed as an oratorio and chamber music singer in over 25 different grand musical works and given concerts in Estonia as well as several foreign countries. In 2010 O. Kuusik was rewarded with the annual “Crystal Shoe” Award of the Estonian Theatre Union\, in 2009 he was chosen as a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques (Canada)\, in 2008 he received the annual Estonian Theatre Award for his singing in Britten’s Turn of the Screw and he has been awarded with the PLMF award “Young Singer 2005”. Several praising reviews have been published about him in worlds most notable publications such as Opera Now\, Opera Magazine\, The Stage\, The London Times etc. \nESTONIAN NATIONAL OPERA BOYS’ CHOIR\nwas founded in 1971 by Professor Venno Laul as the boys’ choir of the State Academic Men’s Choir. The choir has also carried the name Estonian Boys’ Choir and since 1997 the choir is a part of the Estonian National Opera. In 2001\, Hirvo Surva became the artistic director and chief conductor of the choir.\nChoir functions as a choral studio\, which has four compositions: main choir\, young men’s choir and two learning choirs – Jukud and Juhanid. The main choir operates on the mixed choir principle and the boys who have passed the voice breaking period will continue singing as tenors or bassos and will join the young men’s choir at the same time.\nThe main aim of the choir is to promote and introduce the traditions of boys’ singing\, the development of vocal and musical abilities of the singers and shaping their spiritual values.\nThere are exceptional opportunities to sing for the talented boys in the productions of the Estonian National Opera (Händel “Rinaldo”\, Puccini “Tosca” and “La bohème”\, Bizet “Carmen”\, Mascagni “Cavalleria rusticana”\, Leoncavallo “Pagliacci”\, Tchaikovsky “The Nutcracker”\, Puur “The Colours of Clouds” etc.). In 2018\, the choir performed with the program “Songs of Estonian Boys” in Berlin’s Konzerthaus at the ten-day festival which took place to celebrate the centenary of the Baltic states and a concert tour to China took place\, where they gave seventeen concerts in seventeen cities during one month. Estonian National Opera Boys’ Choir has been awarded with the title “Choir of the Year 2015” of the Estonian Choral Association. \nHELI JÜRGENSON (choir master)\n studied choir conducting at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre\, and has been teaching choir conducting at the former since 1992. In 2013 Heli was awarded the Scholarship of Gustav Ernesaks Foundation and was given the title of Choir Conductor of the Year by the Estonian Choral Society. In 2017 Heli was elected to hold the post of artistic director and conductor of the 12th Youth Song Celebration ‘Here I’ll Stay’ in Estonia. \nESTONIA SOCIETY MIXED CHOIR\nChoir created in 1912. She complemented her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg (2004 – 2005) and at the Doctoral level of EAMT (2006-2011). O. She has graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) with two professions – choir conducting and opera singing. She continued her studies in the master’s program of the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Prof. J. Peters) and defended her master’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (Prof. L. Linko-Malmio). In 2004-2011 she furthered her skills in the context of doctoral studies at EAMT (Prof. Jaakko Ryhänen) and in 2005-2006 in the lied class of the University of Karlsruhe (professors Mitsuko Shirai and Hartmuth Höll). P. Lill was a vocal teacher in EAMT from 1997 to 2013 (assistant professor from 2003) and she has given master classes in many countries (Germany\, Russia\, Finland\, Belarus\, Latvia etc.) P. Lill was a board member of Estonian Composers’ Union from 2003-2009\, she is a board member of the Estonian Chamber of Culture and the Finno-Estonian Culture Fund. She is also the founder and creative director of the Pille Lill Music Foundation from 2003. \nKRISTINA VÄHI\nhas received accolades as a soloist in operas\, operettas and musicals. She graduated from the G. Ots Music School (teacher Mare Jõgeva) and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre\, receiving both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in opera singing (teacher Riina Airenne\, prof. Tamara Novitšenko). K. Vähi additionally studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and taken part in many master classes (Eva Märtson\, Gerhard Kahry\, Christina Deutekom\, Rudolf Piernay\, Ingrid Kremling\, Judith Beckman\, Matti Pelo\, Monika Hauswalter). She won 1st Prize at the Klaudia Taev Competition for Young Opera Singers (1996). Between 2006-2013 K. Vähi worked as a soloist at the Estonian National Opera. She has also sung in performances of the Vanemuine Theatre\, the EAMT Opera Studio and the Kuressaare Opera Days; she has been invited to perform at festivals and the musicals of Smithbridges Production and Vanemuine Theatre. Since 1997 she has been a soloist of the Operetta Scretta creative union. Vähi currently works as a freelance opera soloist. \nKRISTINA KRIIT\nhas obtained her master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny\, 2004) and furthered her skills with Prof. Igor Bezrodny\, Eduard Schmieder\, Pavel Vernikov and Hermann Krebbers. In addition\, she has studied in Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (2001-2002\, Prof. Hermann Krebbers). K. Kriit has taken part in several international competitions\, from which the most important are Heino Eller Competition in Tallinn (special prize\, 1996) and Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Poland (Lublin\, 1997). K. Kriit is a valued contemporary musician and she has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in almost every country in Europe. She has twice been a scholar of the reputed Holland Music Sessions. In 2005 K. Kriit was one of the founders of Tallinn String Trio and in 2009 trio “Madrigal” with flute and piano. She is a professor and a PhD student in EAMT (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny) and a II concert master of the Symphony Orchestra in the Estonian National Opera. \nNEEME OTS\nbegan his studies at the age of six under the guidance of his father\, dots. Aavo Ots and he has defended a bachelor’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (2011). The studies continued at the same place at the masters’ level\, where he furthered his skills in the context of an Erasmus program during 2013 in Madrid. N. Ots has taken part of the master courses of several distinguished trumpet pedagogues and he has been awarded with several prizes at competitions in Estonia and abroad. Chamber concerts have brought him together with such reputed interprets as M. Voites\, M. Palm\, A. Teemets\, I. Zahharenkova etc. N. Ots has been a soloist in front of several well-known orchestras\, he has been invited to perform as a soloist at several festivals and he has cooperated with such outstanding conductors as J.-P. Saraste\, K. Järvi\, L. Segerstam\, M. Lehtinen etc. He has been a concert master of the trumpet group in several different youth orchestras with which he has performed in Estonia and abroad. In 2015\, his first CD “Baroque Pictures” was released in cooperation with the organ player Tiia Tenno. \nMIKK LANGEPROON\nbegun his accordion studies at 8 years old at the Tallinn Music School and graduated with honors from the G. Ots Tallinn Music School (teacher Tiina Välja)\, where he was rewarded with G. Ots School’s silver badge. At the same time\, he graduated from Kadriorg German High School with a golden medal. From the autumn of 2014 he has been furthering his skills at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (Prof. Matti Rantanen). In years 2017-18 he also participated in student exchange by prof. Janne Rättyä in Austria\,Graz. M. Langeproon has repeatedly been awarded at the competition “Best Young Musician”\, he is the winner of the older age group of Estonian Young Accordionists’ Competition (2014) and he has obtained 2nd place at the International Vilnius Accordion Competition. He has been chosen as the best instrumentalist of Tallinn Music School (2011) and as the most outstanding student of the accordion department of G. Ots Tallinn Music School three years in a row. In 2013 he was awarded with the Maxima Future Talent title in the music\, arts and culture category. A special prize of the Round Table Competition in 2014 and a successful performance in the TV contest “Classic Stars 2016” are also worth mentioning. M. Langeproon is active as a soloist as well as a chamber musician and he has performed in several reputed concert halls in Estonia and abroad\, in Classic Radio’s live broadcasting and on Estonian Television. \nTIIA TENNO\ngraduated from Tartu Heino Eller Music School (teacher A. Antson) studying piano and Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (prof. H. Lepnurm\, I. Maidre\, A. Uibo) as well as from Herford School of Church Music studying organ (Germany). In addition\, she has furthered her skills in Hamburg School of Music (prof. Wolfgang Zerer) and she has taken part of many distinguished organists’ master classes (B. Haas\, W. Zerer\, J. Laukvik\, A. Marconi\, P. van Dijk\, E. Kooimann). From 1996 T. Tenno is working in Tallinn St. John’s Church as an organist and a choir leader and she is one of the founders of The Organ Fund of St. John’s Church and a board member there. She has also worked as an organist-choir leader in Schnathorst Church in Germany and Lunde Chruch in Norway and she has been the department leader of the church music department of the Estonian Institute of Theology (2004-2007). T. Tenno has cooperated with multiple outstanding interprets (Pille Lill\, Oksana Sinkova\, Neeme Ots\, Toomas Vavilov\, Arete Teemets etc.) and she has given many solo concerts in Germany\, Finland\, Sweden\, Norway and Estonia. She has given multiple performances at Tallinn International Organ Festival\, Tallinn Chamber Music Festival\, Rapla Church Music Festival etc. As a soloist\, T. Tenno has cooperated with the Finnish-Estonian Baroque Orchestra and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. A lot of the music that is played by her is on the recordings of Estonian Public Broadcasting and many other collection CD-s (“Estonian Valuable Organs” – Tallinn St. John’s church organ (publisher ERES\, 2000); “Baroque Pictures” with trumpetist Neeme Ots (publisher Tanel Klesment\, 2015). T. Tenno is a member of the Estonian Organ Society from 1999 and a member of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians from 2014.  \n

At the age of sixteen\, he won the 1st prize at the “Young Talents” competition and went to France a few weeks after that\, continuing his studies under the guidance of V. Marin-Queyras at the Regional Conservatoire in Paris\, which he graduated in 2003 with an award-winning diploma. During the same period\, he took master classes from recognized musicians which included the Alban Berg Quartet\, Philippe Muller\, Enrico Dindo\, Tilmann Wick\, Miklos Perenyi\, Mario Brunello. In 2004 he was accepted into the class of Anne Gastinel at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon\, where he finished with a master’s degree and a first prize in cello and chamber music. He was a member of the world’s best youth orchestras\, such as Pacific Symphony Orchestra\, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra\, Lucerne Festival Orchestra Jugend\, as principal cello in 2007 and 2009\, playing with conductors like Valery Gergiev\, Pierre Boulez\, Herbert Blomstedt\, Esa-Pekka Salonen\, Sir Neville Marriner etc. As a chamber musician V. Xhafaj has performed in such concert halls as Ircam (Paris)\, Philarmonie (Koln)\, KKL (Luzern)\, Salle Molière (Lyon)\, Cité de la Musique (Paris)\, Palais des Congres (Strasbourg)\, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam)\, Suntory Hall (Tokyo)\, Teatro Coliseo (Buenos Aires)\, Teatro Bradesco (Sao Paulo) etc. His chamber music partners include Tedi Papavrami\, Boris Brovtsyn\, Francois-Frederic Guy\, Ilya Gringolts\, Akiko Suwanai\, Nikita Boriso Glebsky\, Alexander Kobrin etc. V. Xhafaj plays regularly with such groups as the Ensemble Intercontemporain\, the Chamber Orchestra of the Auvergne\, the Orchestra of the Opéra de Lyon and the Orchestra of the Suisse Romande\, Royal Philarmonic Orchestra\, Orchestre Philarmonique de Strasbourg. He is supported by the Societe Generale Patronage Musical. \nIRINA ZAHHARENKOVA\nbegan her musical studies with her mother at the age of four. She graduated from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Master of Music\, 2003)\, where her piano teachers were Prof. Mare Ots and Lilian Semper. She entered the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki as an exchange student in 2002 and then as a degree student in 2003\, studying in the piano class of Dr. Hui-Ying Liu- Tawaststjerna. Irina has also participated in the master classes of András Schiff\, Victor Merzhanov\, Stephen Kovacevich and Angela Hewitt. In addition to the piano she has pursued advanced courses in harpsichord (degree from EAMT\, Prof. Maris Valk-Falk)\, organ\, chemistry\, as well as Estonian and Finnish philology. Irina has won first prizes in many major international piano competitions such as the Johann Sebastian Bach Competition (Leipzig\, 2006)\, Alessandro Casagrande Competition (Italy\, 2006) and Georges Enescu Competition (Romania\, 2005). Irina Zahharenkova has also been a laureate as a harpsichordist in the Prague Spring Competition in the Czech Republic (2005) and in the Festival van Vlaanderen competition\n in Belgium (2004) as a fortepianist. An extremely versatile musician\, Irina frequently performs on the piano and harpsichord in solo recitals\, chamber music concerts and as a soloist with orchestras.

Already at the age of two she began her violin studies with her parents\, and at the age of nine she began her studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki\, in the class of her parents: Prof. Igor Bezrodny and Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. Her later years took her to London\, resulting in winning the most prestigious award in Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, the Gold Medal (2006)\, previously won by masters such as baritone Bryn Terfel and cellist Jaqueline du Pre. Over the years Anna-Liisa Bezrodny has performed as a soloist with the London\, Helsinki\, Vilnius\, Jena and Turku Philharmonic\, Estonian National\, Riga and Moscow Symphony Orchestra TV6 and several other symphonic orchestras as well as Gewandhaus Bach Orchestra\, Georgian\, Keskipohjanmaa (Finnish)\, Zurich\, Madrid\, Tallinn and other chamber orchestras. Concerts have taken place in such world-famous concert venues as Moscow Conservatoire Great Hall\, St. Petersburg Philharmonic\, Finlandia-talo\, Royal Festival\, Barbican\, Wigmore and Cadogan Hall\, Konzerthaus Berlin\, Cologne Philharmonie etc. Cooperation has been done with several conductors (Sir Colin Davis\, Leif Segerstam\, Paavo Järvi\, Sian Edwards\, Eri Klas\, Nikolay Alekseyev\, Arvo Volmer\, Juha Kangas\, Paul Mägi\, Tibor Boganyi\, Robin O’Neil\, Mihkel Kütson\, etc.). A.-L. Bezrodny has successfully taken part in many international competitions obtaining several awards and prizes including Martin Music \nFinnish cellist Jan-Erik Gustafsson is one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation\, who began his studies with Markku Luolajan-Mikkola at the West Helsinki Music Institute. He studied further with Mikhail Homitser and Frans Helmerson at the Edberg-Musikinstitut in Stockholm\, completing his soloist diploma examination in 1992. At the age of fifteen\, J-E. Gustafsson placed well in the EBU Young Musician competition in Copenhagen\, and since then he has performed world wide both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He has appeared with numerous distinguished orchestras such as the London SO\, the Bournemouth SO\, the Netherlands RSO\, the Danish RSO\, the Swedish RSO and the Stockholm Philharmonic\, the Hong Kong Philharmonic\, the Jerusalem SO\, the Washington National SO\, the New York and Vienna Chamber Orchestras\, Camerata Bern and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared with nearly all Finnish orchestras. In 1994\, Jan-Erik Gustafsson signed a contract with the American YCA agency. Consequently\, he regularly gives solo recitals on tour in the USA\, Europe and the Far East at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York\, the Kennedy Center in Washington\, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Brahms Hall in Vienna. At chamber music festivals worldwide\, he has collaborated with Pinchas Zukerman\, Ralf Gothóni\, Leif-Ove Andsnes\, Paavali Jumppanen and Arto Satukangas. Jan-Erik Gustafsson has made several recordings for Ondine. His disc featuring Cello Sonatas by Szymanowski\, Kodály and Schnittke was nominated Record of the Year.
