XXV Rapla Church Music Festival’s headliner is ERSO!

From 28th of June through 9th of July a multitude of distinguished Estonian musicians and outside guests will perform in bigger and smaller churches of Rapla County. The festival is a meeting place for good music, Estonia’s beautiful churches and dim summer evenings. The organizer of the Rapla Church Music Festival which is taking place for the 25th year already is PLMF Music Trust.

The patron of the festival’s jubilee year is EELC’s archbishop Urmas Viilma and the festival is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

“The festival is honored, that the headliner is the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra on 30th of June at 7 PM”, said the artistic manager of the festival Pille Lilland added that “what’s even more spectacular is that Estonian one of the most recognized violin virtuosos in the  world through time Anna-Liisa Bezrodny will perform as a soloist and the conductor will be the brilliant Mihhail Gerts”. The program will include Johannes Brahms’ violin concerto and works from Ludwig van Beethoven’s creation.

As a pearl of the festival we expect the widely popular Latvian a capella vocal ensemble “Latvian Voices”.

The concert will take place on 8th of July at 7 PM in Rapla Church, where mostly Latvian folk songs and original musical compositions will be heard.

At the festival’s opening concert on 28th of June at 8 PM chamber choir “Good Night Brother” and chamber orchestra “Collegium Consonante” will perform, conductor will be one of Rapla County’s musical talents Pärt Uusberg. The performance is a presentation concert of the young composer’s author record.

In addition, during the concerts of the festival it is possible to hear Estonian top-interprets, among whom is baritone Atlan Karp, flutist Oksana Sinkova and organist Anna Humal (29.06 Käru church), clarinetist Madis Kari, saxophonist Lauri Sepp and classical star Johan Randvere (1.07 Järvakandi church), soprano Pille Lill, saxophonist Virgo Veldi, accordionist Jaak Lutsoja and cellist Andreas Lend, the program includes Aaro Pertmann’s composition’s world premiere (5.07 Vahastu church), accordion duo Henri Zibo and Mikk Langeproon (6.07 Kehtna church) and Tallinn University’s alumni women’s choir Helia, conductor Linda Kardna (7.07 Velise church).  

THE KAISERSLAUTERN COUNTY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA’S CHAMBER ENSEMBLES from Germany will be festival guests on 4th of July in Rapla Church.

Tickets are on sale in Piletilevi, the price ranging from 3€ to 12€ and an hour before the beginning on spot.
