On the 26th of April, members of IAMA, the international classical music umbrella organisation visited Tallinn to discover its' values and become acquainted with talented Estonian musicians and local professionals in the field of classical music.
„I am very glad that we found an opportunity to bring so many of our colleagues from the music business to Tallinn,“ PLMF General Manager Leelo Lehtla commented. „We were honoured to host a truly international party of nearly 60 music specialists from Brasil to Tasmania and from Canada to China."
The guests arrived in Tallinn from the annual conference of IAMA (International Artist Managers’ Association) which took place in Helsinki at 23-25 of April. The association, initially uniting British music agencies is today a global organisation for representatives of classical music soloists, ensembles and orchestras, of artist managements, of concert houses and halls and of music festivals. PLMF, having attended the IAMA conferences since 2009 was took the initiative to organize a day full of events for IAMA delegates to become acquainted with Estonia, Tallinn and the local music scene. The day included show-case performances by talented Estonian musicians and receptions at the Estonia Concert Hall, the National Opera and the Town Hall.
The events were supported by the Estonian Ministry of Culture, Estonian Cultural Endowment, NGO Estonian Music Export, Estonian Concert, the Estonian National Opera, Tallink, Tallinn City Government and the City Enterprise Board.
